Hospice cares for people in the last phases of a life limiting (terminal) disease, so that they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible. Hospice affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones end of life. Hospice of Greater Pittsburgh Comfort Care is a team of healthcare professionals who work together to deliver services and to provide support to the patient, family, and caregiver. Hospice volunteers are trained and become patient visitors, administrative assistants, or bereavement contacts. Hospice of Greater Pgh serves 10 South Western PA counties: Allegheny, Armstrong,Beaver,Butler,Clarion, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington,& Westmoreland.
