The Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989. The Foundation develops and maintains programs that offer state-of-the-art, evidence-based information for healthcare decisions that are closely tied to an individual's preferences. These programs in DVD, VHS, and booklet format include real patients talking about their own experiences in deciding how to treat conditions such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, coronary heart disease, osteoarthritis, herniated disc, menopause symptoms, benign uterine conditions, depression, and end-of-life care.
