About Us

Coalition for Homeownership Preservation in Prince George’s County is a nonprofit organization, was formed in 2007, as a one voice consortia of housing counseling agencies along with community housing development organizations in partnership with a multitude of public, private and nonprofit stakeholders with the goals of: 1) preserving and increasing homeownership, 2) stabilizing and recovering the homeownership economy, 3) supporting the building of homeownership communities, 4) creating economic opportunities through the homeownership industry and 5) promoting financial literacy education.

The Coalition strives to meet these goals for homeownership and the homeownership industry through: 1) marketing, media and community relations, 2) grassroots and legislative advocacy, 3) research and data analysis and 4) policy and program development.
