The Black Women's Breastfeeding Alliance, Inc.
745 East 39th Street
The Black Women's Breastfeeding Alliances mission is dedicated to helping mothers from low income communities (not exclusively) to breastfeed through support, education and awareness. This grassroots non-profit strives to promote a better understanding of baby and mother via innovative social and health marketing strategies.
One of the organizations most significant events is a the annual walk-a-thon in Brooklyn, New York. This walk-a-thon is an outreach effort that reaches the community and communicates that breastfeeding is the best feeding.
Our newest project is called "More than Milk" and is a program for educating women of all ages of the importance of good health, supporting one another and and being your sisters keeper!
