  • Mission

We believe that people and communities in our country have within them the answer to their problems. We exist to walk with people and communities to find solutions to the challenges they face. While focusing on 5 pillars we believe to be the basis for all sustainable development in our local communities, we build projects that make a meaningful difference while preserving the dignity of the our people.

    About Us

Marafiki Community International was born out of a need no else could fulfil, the school at SIDP, 10 years ago. It’s a dream come true.

    What We’ve Achieved So Far

    • We built and run Southern Cross Academy alongside the local community. This primary school currently has around 300 students.
    • We have hosted over 2,000 volunteers in Nairobi, in Mai Mahiu, Watamu and Maasai Mara
    • We provide clean water to a population of 10,000 in Maasai Mara.
    • We built Ripoi Primary School, with a current student population of 300, located in the middle of Maasai Mara.

In 2023 we are putting professional development and mental healthcare for youths at the forefront of our organisation. A lot of our projects will be around building capacity in our unemployed youth.
