About Us

Better World Cameroon (BWC) is a grassroots umbrella NGO for unemployed youth/women’s associations founded by Joshua Konkankoh, in Cameroon. Its Ndanifor Community Garden Project (NCGP) within the city slums of Yaoundé (university residential area) and God is Great Orphanage in the North West Province is reconnecting young people with the land to grow their own nutritious food, medicines and spices. NCGP serves as an Ecological Literacy Centre created to deliver Permaculture and Sustainable Agriculture Courses and promote cultural, educational and technical cooperation between Cameroon and other countries. BWC is working with the Cameroon One World Linking Association to develop world wide partnerships and improve global understanding. It is staffed by young graduate volunteers and welcomes volunteers from abroad. A major part of the work of BWC’s work is to assist people and organizations to visit each other for professional and solidarity purposes. People and organizations wishing to build relations with West and Central Africa can obtain information on a wide range of issues on public and social enterprise development. BWC is committed to using its local and regional networks to offer services suited to your needs to make things easier for building mutual relationships of understanding. BWCs objective is to enable the West and Central African Region participates fully in global environmental issues and social enterprise from an African perspective. Our Vision is to create and develop sustainable poverty reduction and environmental solutions with global impact which contribute significantly in enabling the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
