Sagamore Institute, : Adirondack Great Camp
Great Camp Sagamore is a National Historic Landmark of 27 buildings in the center of the Adirondack Park in upstate New York. Former wilderness retreat of the Vanderbilt family, the Camp's architecture is a prototype of rustic design in our National Parks. Sagamore Institute of the Adirondacks, Inc., is a non-profit organization that offers tours and residential programs at Camp Sagamore to more than 10,000 visitors annually, and uses the power and beauty of its location and the quality of its programs to foster understanding, care, and respect for nature, people, and their critical interdependence. Our success is measured in our ability to inspire in those who visit or stay, individual responsibility to nature and community.
