About Us
The Oakland House of Ruth (HOR) is a 501(c) 3, non-profit organization, sponsored by Acts Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Bishop Bob Jackson.
We provide safe and structured transitional housing for a maximum of one year, which allows us to remove individuals from distressed situations and provide a sense of well being and stability.
We also provide resources, referrals and onsite job readiness programs including GED attainment, resume writing and interviewing skills, goal setting, and literacy assistance.
Our mission is to assist women in becoming self-sufficient, while regaining dignity, and breaking the cycle which they are currently in.
