About Us

The Cross Cultural Family was established in 1969 and currently operates 14 child development centers in San Francisco that serve families with infant and toddler, preschoolers, and afterschool children. Our centers are located throughout San Francisco in the Tenderloin, Western Addition, Hayes Valley, Potrero Hill, Richmond, and Visitacion Valley neighborhoods. Diverse cultures and languages among staff and families are celebrated in our programs and highly influence learning environments and teaching strategies. Programs provide both part day and full day child development and care.

The Mission of the Cross Cultural Family Center is to provide child care services in cross cultural settings. It includes a commitment to high quality, community based, and developmentally appropriate early care and educational services. It further includes recognition of the significant of family and community in promoting positive development of young children. Our goal is to maximize the positive potential of the diversity among our children, their families, our staff, and the communities in which we live.
