Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa
Tikkun Olam offers Jewish English-speaking college graduates from around the world the opportunity to spend five or ten months volunteering and studying in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
Participants choose from the following tracks:
Social Action Track: Participants live in southern Tel Aviv, and spend their volunteer and study time engaged in issues facing the population living in the neighborhood, which includes recent Israeli immigrants, foreign workers, and refugees from Darfur, Eritrea and other African countries.
Coexistence Track: Participants live in Jaffa, and spend their volunteer and study time engaged in issues of Arab-Jewish coexistence and meet many different religious groups such as Arab Muslims, Christians, Jews, and Ethiopians. This track also includes a weekly spoken Arabic class and learning about the fascinating history of ancient Jaffa.
