About Us

EOTO World is an international all-volunteer nonprofit with a mission to strengthen the skills of human rights activists to assist the work toward global poverty eradication and promote a culture of peace. The organization achieves its mission through a variety of online and offline capacity building services that include education and training, technical assistance, advocacy, creating resources, facilitating dialogue and consulting. EOTO World is fiscally sponsored by Creative Visions Foundation and is independently governed by its own Board of Directors.

EOTO World has three philosophies it uses as frameworks to guide its mission, “EOTO”, the MDGs and a culture of peace. EOTO stands for “Each One Teach One” and is a lifestyle choice of the way the organization sees the world challenges it addresses being effectively resolved. Each one must teach one, to create solidarity, foster understanding and shared learning toward the practices of the vision of shared humanity that eradicates poverty and creates a culture of peace. The MDGs are eight measureable goals agreed upon by the United Nations (UN) to drastically cut factors in half that contribute to extreme poverty. A culture of peace are eight visionary goals also agreed upon by the UN, needed to create and sustain peaceful societies. EOTO World believes that the MDGs must be fully completed and furthered to eradicate poverty as well as integrated with a culture of peace because where there is poverty, there can be no sustainable peace.

A three-year recipient of a coveted spot on the GreatNonprofit “Top-Rated Nonprofit” award from its reviews made by its beneficiaries, EOTO World has provided online and offline services for more than 4,200 anti-poverty and peace activists, spread across five continents since 2010.
