CARA CATERS

At Cara Caters, we believe all children deserve to have equittable access to the food they need to thrive. We are committed to providing children with high quality foood regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religious background, sexual orientation, disability or socioeconomic status.

We currently provide food to children who attend Ennis ISD in Ennis, Texas. The counselors at each campus create an anonymous list of students who are in desperate need of food at home. The lists are ongoing and can change based on need.

Each week through the school year, Cara Caters volunteers gather to pack over 200 bags which are delivered to each campus on Thursdays. Once the bags are delivered, the counselors discreetly distribute them to our recipients.

A Cara Caters food bag contains two meals and snacks. Items include a packet of Oatmeal, two can of soup/Mac n' cheese/pasta, a granola bar, a package of cheese crackers, a dessert item, a cup of fruit, a cup of apple sauce, a bottle of water and a disposable spoon.
