EVANGELISM Africa Youth Ministries Uganda as a social action Ministry or Faith Based Ngo, was found on a Christian Foundation and inspired by the Holy Scriptures: Mat 25:35:36 to care for the needy, Isaiah 1:17 to learn to do right just, seek justice, encourage the oppressed, defend the cause of the fatherless plead the case of the widow, Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after Orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world, Mat 28:19 go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Mt 6:14-15 preach the gospel of forgiveness. As members of Africa Youth Ministries we’re called to bear witness of Jesus Christ in our actions and word.

HIV/AIDS MITIGATION Africa Youth Ministries Uganda is greatly involved in the HIV/AIDS awareness & prevention campaigns focused on secondary schools. This is in response to the staggering currents statistics released by UNAIDS, which indicate a high rate of infections between the ages of 14-25. In Sub-Saharan Teens and young adults ages 15-24 currently make up almost a third of the 42 million people known to be living with HIV/AIDS. UNAIDS Statistics on Uganda indicate between 90,000-136,000 young women aged 14-24 are living with HIV/AIDS and 39,000-58,000 young men are living with HIV/AIDS. Sub-Saharan Africa has been more devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic than any other world region. The epidemic is taking an enormous toll on the region’s youth: Nearly 10 million women and men aged 15–24—roughly one in 14 young adults—are living with HIV/AIDS, and half of new infections in 2003 occurred among this age-group. In addition, youth have suffered indirectly from the epidemic: Millions of children and teenagers in Sub-Saharan Africa have lost at least one parent to AIDS.

HIV/AIDS COMMUNITY ORPHAN CARE & SUPPORT The HIV/AIDS epidemic has created an orphan crisis in this nation; its believed over 1.5 million Ugandan children under 14 have lost a parent or both to the epidemic. These children are left helpless, Africa Youth Ministries is supporting such Children through education support which includes scholastic materials e.g. Books, Pens, pencils, and school uniform.

NEEDY STUDENTS SCHEME In this scheme Africa Youth Ministries Uganda identifies secondary going students who by lack of school are at the risk of dropping of school. Currently Africa Youth Ministries in this scheme is currently supporting 7 needy students in Wakiso Districts.

SUPPORT & CARE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS A person living with HIV/AIDS needs our support, care and encouragement to be able to handle their situation better without resentment. In this category, Africa Youth Ministries is helping people living with HIV/AIDS through counseling, training in micro enterprise, small loans, and treatment.

DISASTER MITIGATION People affected by disaster whether natural or man made need help, Africa Youth Ministries Uganda together with its partners will raise humanitarian support, material and financial to respond to disasters such as war, famine, etc. Apparently, Africa Youth Ministries has been heavily involved in creating both Local & and International awareness on the Humanitarian crisis by people affected by the 18 years LRA insurgency.

PEACE-BUILDING Africa Youth Ministries Uganda, is currently working on and developing various peace-building projects and programs to benefit the war affected people in Gulu and Lira in the process of building sustainable peace in Northern Uganda and entire nation.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Africa Youth Ministries Uganda, through various local and international partners is working on a tree planting scheme targeting primary school children. The main reason behind this move is to teach our children the importance of the environment and how to preserve and conserve it for generations to come. This will involves community sensitisation on environmental conservation and also have them get involved in tree planting.
