P.E.E.R. - Providing Equine Education and Rescue
Providing Equine Education and Rescue Each year a number of equine abuse cases are reported in South Carolina; however, for every one that is reported there are probably three that are not. One of P.E.E.R.'s goals is to provide people an organization that they can report abuse to anonymously.
South Carolina needs large animal organizations that can educate the public, help rescue and provide healthcare for rescued equines.
The mission of P.E.E.R. is to care for abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted equines of all ages and breeds by providing educational opportunities for the general public, a venue for the public to report abuse or abusive behavior, and/or housing facilities for those equines rescued by Animal Control, Humane Societies or other state rescue organizations.
