USA New Horizons
USA New Horizons was formed in California in October 2001 as a public non-profit public benefit corporation, and is qualified as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
The projects completed to date have included providing assistance in connection with the construction of a school in the village of Colonia Buenos Aires, which is located near the municipality of Armenia, approximately 30 miles west of the country’s capital, San Salvador. That assistance consisted of providing building materials and tools for the project, and all of the shipping containers and services necessary to ship those materials and tools from the United States to the construction site. USA New Horizons, as part of a separate project, provided sewing machines and related training to the women of Colonia Buenos Aires, and supported the installation of a greenhouse in the village as a pilot project. USA New Horizons also provided support for the construction of a Community Center in the village and, most recently, a children’s play structure and playground.
