Bethany House of Northern Virginia, Inc. (BHNV) is a 501 (c) non-profit organization that seeks to eliminate domestic violence one family at a time. The mission of Bethany House is to help women and their children who have suffered from domestic violence regain health and dignity and become reestablished in their community by providing temporary housing and support. Since 1979, Bethany House has provided emergency shelter and supportive services to women and children who have been made homeless and destitute as a result of domestic violence. Through our comprehensive Family Assistance Program, Bethany House provides victims of domestic violence with the support and care they need to heal from their trauma and rebuild independent lives. Through its crisis Helpline, Bethany House provides counseling, guidance and advice to callers seeking assistance to escape abusive situations.
