The Stillwater House
We are a 14 bedroom transitional living facility/life skills program.
Our Vision is to generate positive change in the lives of young people and our community and ultimately the world.
Our Mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for homeless to low income young adults, ages 18-29; to teach life and job skills; to provide mentoring, stability, and structure; to assist our residents in growing to maturity; and to teach the importance of community.
Our Goal is to assist our community in its effort to end cronic homelessness. We hope to achive this goal by teaching our residents: accountability and respect for self and others; the importance of having a strong work ethic; the importance of continuing their education and training; the tools necessary to live a successful and sustainable life; and how to be great leaders and role models. The young adults who come through this program will eventually be able to achieve a stable home environment and will leave our facility with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure their success. By implementing the aforementioned skills and training, we at Stillwater House, expect to establish a stronger community of mature young adults.
