Sharing Excess is a food rescue non-profit started in Philadelphia in 2018. We bridge the gap between excess and scarcity by partnering with grocery stores, restaurants, wholesalers, and farmers to deliver surplus food to a network of nonprofits, food banks, and community organizations to alleviate local food insecurity.
150,000,000 POUNDS OF FOOD RESCUED
600,000,000 POUNDS OF CO2 DIVERTED
Sharing Excess has distributed enough surplus to food to feed over 10 million people across the country. This is all value that we’re proud to get back in the hands of the communities we serve, instead of letting it go to waste in a landfill.
