About Us

The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (AHC) is an integral part of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the Mount Sinai NYU/Health System. We serve young people ages 10 to 26 and the children of adolescent clients. The Center is one of the largest adolescent health centers in the US, and is nationally renowned as a center of excellence.

The AHC employs a staff of approx. 100 people who themselves reflect the diversity, in culture, language and background, of adolescents served. We strive to give each patient comprehensive health services through interdisciplinary teams. Our goal is to integrate our four primary services: medical, reproductive health, mental health and health education services, for patients who may enter AHC services through any of these four "doors." To engage, and retain adolescents in care, we strive to reduce barriers to access and to provide services in an adolescent-friendly atmosphere. In keeping with NY State law, AHC services are confidential.
