Mission
Southpop seeks to create a dialogue between the established and the counterculture, the past and the present, in an environment that is responsive to the challenges of the Austin music art scene, while being accessible to a public that ranges from scholars to students. We do this through regular exhibits, live concerts and community-building events.
About Us
Southpop is entering its 15th year as part of the cultural fabric of Austin. We are a resource for scholars, filmmakers, writers and anyone seeking historical context as it relates to music and Austin's varied counter culture movements. We are also a performance space that reguarly hosts low-cost or free concerts for the community.
