The Midwestern AIDS Project
Founded in 2012, the Midwestern AIDS Project’s goal is to restore HIV/AIDS prevention services to Iowa communities disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS (including Latinos, African Americans, men who have sex with men, and IV drug users), as well as to provide comprehensive sexual heath information to these communities and the greater community in general. Our activities include research into behaviors related to sexual health in these communities, educational marketing focused on specific activities (unprotected sexual encounters, drug use pertaining to sexual activity, HIV/STI testing, etc) and individual/group education. Additionally, we will soon begin providing HIV/STI counseling, testing, and referral services to disproportionately affected communities.
The Midwestern AIDS Project is a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
