At this moment in our growth we are looking for a Backend Engineer to help us to scale our backend systems and develop new solutions for our Business and Product needs.

What do we look for?

Your job mission at Bridge for Billions is contributing to architect, develop and maintain backend solutions to help us achieve our Product and Business' objectives. This can mean for example API backend development (Django Rest Framework) on a daily basis to build new features in our Product but also finding solutions to some challenges that we currently have, like searching / filtering / accessing any type of data. Also, we are working on improving our AWS architecture to make it more scalable and secure.

Your roles and their contributions to full-fill this position are:

• Backend Development
• Work closely with the Product team (Product Manager, Lead Designer and Developers) to design and architect robust back-end solutions in an agile environment
• Write clean, documented, and performant code
• Code reviews and pull requests feedback
• QA & Maintenance
• Backend Testing
• Bug fixing and libraries maintenance
• Sentry errors management

Also, in general, you will be also expected to constantly share knowledge / teach others.

Hard and technical skills

These are the required skills that we are looking for to achieve your missing in this job opportunity:

• BS Computer Science or equivalent
• Professional English
• 1+ year of software development experience
• Proven experience with Python and Django Rest Framework
• A passion for clean code

...and these are the nice to have ones that you can also bring:

• Docker / containers (in our backend stack)
• QA / Testing knowledge is a plus
• PostgreSQL databases user knowledge is a plus
