Transcendent Endeavors, a company that develops digital products to help people in the areas of healthcare, education, and communication, is recruiting a full-time Grants and Research Associate in New York, NY. 

Responsibilities may include:

·      Grants

o  Contributing to applications for funding through the National Institutes of Health Small Business Innovation Research grant program and other sources

o  Preparing annual and final reports to funders for current grants

·      Research implementation

o  Conducting literature searches (including systematic reviews and meta-analyses) on existing research

o  Drafting and editing Institutional Review Board protocols, consent forms, paper and electronic surveys, and qualitative interview and focus group guides

o  Attending biweekly internal meetings on current studies

o  Attending external meetings with potential or existing partner organizations

o  Reaching out by email to potential partner organizations

o  Training staff at partner organizations on how to recruit study participants, request informed consent, and administer surveys

o  Conducting interviewer-administered paper and electronic surveys

o  Conducting or taking notes during qualitative interviews and focus groups in-person or over the phone

o  Transcribing audio-recorded qualitative interviews and focus groups.

o  Coding and analyzing qualitative data

o  Analyzing quantitative data (e.g., descriptive statistics, t-tests, chi-square tests, regression, power and sample size calculations)

·      Research dissemination

o  Preparing slides for presentations to potential partner organizations or dissemination of study results

o  Participating in writing abstracts and preparing scientific posters for conferences

o  Assisting with developing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals


·      Strong writing skills in English

·      Experience performing some of the tasks listed above

·      Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

·      A graduate degree in public health, nursing, public administration, business administration, healthcare administration, nonprofit management, communications or other relevant field
