Renewal Memory Partners is seeking a Human Resources Director to join our Human Resources Team. We are a social enterprise focused on providing renewed well-being and freedom to individuals giving and receiving long-term care. Since our founding, Renewal Memory has developed expertise in caring for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. We are also deeply committed to LGBTQ aging cultural competency. The Human Resources Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources department. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures hiring and management practices are compliant with all Federal, State, and local labor laws 
  • Oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputers and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development 
  • Ability to approach HR strategically, analytically, and creatively 
  • Participates in required leadership meetings 
  • Collaborates with Care Recruiter on recruitment efforts of Care Partners 
  • Manages recruitment of administrative staff 
  • Services as an internal point of contact for Human Resources 
  • Acts as a liaison between Renewal Memory Partners and third-party HR Services 
  • Mentors administrative staff on HR best practices 
  • Provides strategic guidance on complex HR issues with a focus on risk mitigation 
  • Supports the development and periodic review of HR policies and procedures 
  • Develops performance management tools in collaboration with senior management 
  • Assists with job descriptions and organizational charting 
  • Spearheads employee relations and retention initiatives 
  • Monitors HR/workforce trends 
  • Drive the optimal utilization of HRMS software 

 

Education and Experience 

  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in management, human resources, or recruitment, ideally in a health or human services context  
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • SHRM Certification preferred 
  • Must have experience managing teams remotely 
  • Well-organized, self-motivated and positive attitude 
  • Proactive, solution-oriented team player 
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and a strong knowledge of the Internet (search tools, social networking tools, etc.) 
  • Detail-oriented
