- Job posted by Accounting for International Development (AfID)

Unique opportunity for experienced accountant (ACCA/AICPA/CIMA - or equivalent) to gain international experience with this inspiring education organisation in India for 2-4 weeks.
Our partner is a registered Trust in New Delhi working to improve teaching and learning practices in government schools. They aim to provide children with better access to education and opportunities regardless of social or economic background. They are looking for a volunteer to help them develop and strengthen their financial management.
Their inclusive approach with schools works to strengthen teaching and learning processes and introduce a more innovative and holistic curriculum.
You will begin with an internal review and needs assessment of their existing accounting systems, procedures and controls. This will include looking at and advising on stock management and annual budgeting. They have also asked for support strengthening their financial management and creating management reporting dashboards to inform decisions, as well as support creating a Finance Procedures Manual.
This broad and wide-ranging assignment is a great opportunity for accountants thinking about a career move to the international development sector to get an extensive insight in just a few weeks.
