The Music District, a music-centric gathering place to cultivate talents, support professional development, and encourage connections, is seeking an experienced General Manager. The Music District General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the Music District, including financial management and reporting, regulations and legal compliance, leadership accountability, and daily operations such as staffing, scheduling, tenancy operations, execution of all programs as designed by Music District Director and creative decision making management team and act as the liaison between the MD and Bohemian Companies HR, accounting, properties and IT services. The Music District General Manager will provide direct oversight of staff, and report to the Music District Director. The MD General Manager will assist in the overall evaluation of the Music District and its mission. This role will serve in place of the Music District Director in the event of the Director’s absence.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess a compelling combination of the following:
· Five or more years of operations experience in a senior management role
· Demonstrated experience in managing, developing and mentoring staff
· Proven interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financials, schedules, and budgeting
Ideal candidates will also have:
· A flexible and open-minded spirit and openness to both new and traditional ideas
· The ability to work gracefully and cooperatively under pressure
