VP of Enterprise Sales

Carbon Lighthouse is seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Sales with a proven track record of growth to lead our direct sales efforts and oversee a 15-person team. This ideal candidate has at least five years of experience selling directly in a quota-bearing enterprise sales role selling an elective or novel offering which required creating a need for a software or a tech-enabled service (e.g. no RFPs). The ideal candidate also has at least five years experience managing and overseeing an enterprise sales team doing the same.

We are a decade-old company, but only recently have changed our sale to be very focused on ARR and ongoing services, meaning what we have sold is both well-established and also has a lot to be tested and improved upon. As a result, the ideal candidate will enjoy working in a company that is still determining the best ways to iterate upon the offering. A successful candidate in this role will bring to Carbon Lighthouse their deep expertise in winning and expanding enterprise sales. They will have a passion for success and for seeing our mission achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve quota targets for Sales team
  • Land new and expand existing client accounts
  • Hire and onboard new account executives;
  • Coach and train account executives
  • Mentor existing sales leaders, including both sales managers and individual contributors
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to steer sales efforts on short timelines

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a quota-bearing enterprise sales role selling an elective or novel offering which required creating a need for a software or a tech-enabled service based on subscription or recurring fee basis.
  • 5+ years experience managing and overseeing an enterprise sales team doing the same
  • Experience writing and evolving Sales Playbooks: iterating over time based on customer data, finding the path to the best possible repeatable formula
  • Experience systematically expanding the pie of value to clients making the sale about broader, enterprise level value to sell more volume in a single deal
  • Experience systematically shortening the sales cycle and driving to faster closes.
  • Experience coaching and training account executives to top performance 


Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience selling and/or managing sales teams doing the above to commercial real estate landlords (e.g. View the Space, Hightower, Argus, Yardi)
  • Familiarity with “Peak” methodologies
