Job Overview:

Edquity is seeking a part-time (10-15 hrs/wk) Marketing Content Managerwho is passionate about enhancing financial wellness and social mobility in higher education, and improving college graduation rates for low and middle-income students. The Marketing Content Manager will conduct in depth research and policy analysis around challenges impacting higher education institutions, create content for various channels, and create and follow workflow procedures to ensure completeness, correctness, and overall quality of content.

What You Will Do:

  • Create content for Edquity’s blog, website, social media platforms and other digital assets
  • Research complex topics and distill information into clear, compelling, and accurate content
  • Adapt Edquity’s voice and writing style across a range of topics, audiences, and digital channels
  • Present content strategy recommendations and the strategic thinking behind them
  • Support end-to-end development of dynamic marketing campaigns and activations to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments
  • Support Edquity’s external communications, including preparing materials for press and external stakeholders, such as press releases and/or blog posts with spokesperson statements
  • Manage time and deadlines in a remote, project-based environment while working both independently and on distributed teams

What You Should Have:

  • Experience working in a communications or creating user-centered content (with experience in the fields of finance, education, and/or technology a plus)
  • Familiarity with student basic needs and emergency grant programs at institutions of higher education and a passion for supporting students and a desire to reduce structural inequality
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with an understanding of how to properly source and reference content
  • Strong writing capabilities, including copy-writing and editing, and general ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience implementing content strategy, UX, and SEO best practices
  • Understanding of (or willingness to learn) social media marketing software such as HootSuite
  • Understanding of (or willingness to learn) online advertising campaign platforms, including platforms needed to create paid campaigns across Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin
