Licensed Clinical Director - PHF

The Licensed Clinician ensures compliance with established policies and procedures of the overall program and timely completion of respective reporting requirements. The Licensed Clinician helps in the supervision of program staff by providing therapeutic guidance. In addition, assists the Program Director in coordinating and implementing the core program.

LICENSED CLINICIAN POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• LCSW, LMFT or LCC is required.
• A minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting at least one of which must have been in a mental health setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DSM-5.
• Familiarity with DMH Titles 9 and other governmental regulations.

• Proven ability to work with others, at all levels within the organization, and collaborates effectively.
• Above average interpersonal, problem solving, and written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in working with health care and mental health regulatory agencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively, teach and motivate staff.
• Present a supportive and positive position to all staff
• A specific knowledge for the types of clients served, including knowledge of human growth, development, and chronological maturation process or satisfactory completion of coursework to achieve knowledge within six months of employment.
• Valid CA Drivers License.

POSITION RESPONSBILITES:

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provides ongoing direct and indirect clinical supervision to the PHF campus administrators, clinical directors, nursing supervisors and staff.
• Ensures all programs meet the stated clinical objectives, including clinical integrity; discharge dispositions and length of stay; non-coercive treatment outcomes; restraint and seclusion outcomes; engagement outcomes; and provide the full spectrum of recovery services to all clients in the PHF programs.
• Ensures PHFs maintain confidentiality of all information meeting the highest regulatory, accreditation and HIPPA standards.
• Ensure all PHFs are staffed to meet the standards and stated staffing patterns based on program needs.
• Continually explore best practices and evidence-based recovery practices to implement in the PHFs.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Supervises the clinical services provided by each PHF program.
• Ensures behavioral health outcomes, performance improvement
  assessments, reports and plans are completed following established guidelines and timeframes.
• Support the PHF leadership team with orientation, supervision, instruction, and hiring responsibilities.
• Ensures corporate and facility specific PHF program policy and procedure manuals are reviewed and updated annually and meet the established corporate, facility and regulatory agency protocols, including regulatory updates, accreditation revisions, current best practices and that the most current policies and procedures are posted on the intranet.
• Maintains a working knowledge of standards and regulations governing mental health services, including Medicare conditions of participation.
• Coordination of corporate PHF program meetings and trainings to provide clinical support, training and information to facilitate corporate inter-PHF communication.
• Participates in the statewide PHF call, provides leadership in PHF operations to peers across the state and provides educational workshops at conferences and trainings.
• Provides data and support in analyzing PHF trends, outcomes and completing the corporate Annual Report.
• Supports and participates in PHF RFPs and development of new PHF projects.
