Loevy & Loevy is accepting applications for the 2020 Justice Fellowship.

The Justice Fellowship offers standout practicing attorneys, judicial law clerks, and law graduates committed to civil rights and criminal justice an unparalleled opportunity to work on trial and appellate litigation with a top tier national civil rights law firm. Our Justice Fellows participate in all aspects of our civil rights practice, including our wrongful convictions, police shootings, and prisoners’ rights practices.

Loevy & Loevy is seeking two Justice Fellows to join the firm’s Chicago office during the fall of 2020. Justice Fellows typically commit to a two-year term, and many of our previous Justice Fellows have continued at the firm thereafter. Compensation is $75,000 per year plus bonus, with full benefits.

Fellows participate in Loevy & Loevy’s trial teams, take depositions of defendants and third-party witnesses, write briefs and pleadings for federal district courts and courts of appeals, and participate in all aspects of discovery and case investigation.

Loevy & Loevy is in search of candidates with exemplary credentials to serve as Justice Fellows. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed judicial clerkships or public-interest fellowships, and to those with a keen interest in trial practice, stellar academic records, and clinical experience. A demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil rights, or criminal justice is important.
