UNIFORM is an ethical fashion company that launched via Kickstarter in July 2015 with over $230,000 in pre-sales. A subsidiary of Liberty & Justice, Africa's first Fair Trade Certified apparel manufacturer, UNIFORM's mission is "To dress the world for success." The brand's initial focus is marketing business casual apparel to millennials entering the professional workforce. For every UNIFORM purchase, a school uniform is donated to a child who otherwise could not attend school in the developing world. UNIFORM clothing is manufactured in Africa, by a network of factories focused on women's employment and ethical manufacturing. During the company's 45-day Kickstarter launch, it was featured in Forbes, Financial Times, Women's Wear Daily, The Daily Beast, Fast Company, and other leading publications for its unique take on the one-for-one model. Beginning in July, 2016 UNIFORM was in a nationwide pop-up shop in Bloomingdale’s. Since its official online launch in September 2016, the company has been featured in WSJ magazine, The New York Times, Refinery 29 and PBS.
