Technical Product Manager, Atlassian Suite

POSITION TITLE: Technical Product Manager, Atlassian Suite 

DEPARTMENT: Product Management  

REPORTS TO: Sr. Technology Manager 

 

OBJECTIVE: 

The Product Manager is responsible for shaping School Group’s Atlassian Suite of tools product strategy, vision, roadmap, solution architecture, product backlog, release planning and KPI’s. This will be a highly visible, technical product manager role that has responsibility to deliver value to core product offering at the early-stage global nonprofit startup working to make quality education accessible worldwide through e-learning technology. 

  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Define success metrics for key capabilities and releases of the product and regularly measure how the Atlassian product tools is performing against established KPI’s. 
  • Develop deep knowledge Atlassian product suites implementation strategy and execution for existing business processes.  
  • Develop, maintain and manage core product backlog in partnership with the business and scrum team. 
  • Define, develop and elaborate prioritized epics, develop stories and acceptance criteria that are actively managed as part of release planning / story grooming. 
  • Collaborate with scrum team to define and align scaled agile teams’ execution to ensure ecosystem integrity of business processes and Atlassian suite of products 
  • Accountable for delivery of business value / outcomes. 
  • Own, manage and maintain the 99.999% up time and core processes of Atlassian suite of products.

The successful candidate should have: 

  • A strategic thinker focused on product usability, viability, desirability and feasibility. 
  • 2+ years of product management experience in a cross-functional organization setup. 
  • Experience with decomposing use cases to task able user stories through periodic grooming. 
  • Experience handling leadership communication, product demos and delivering the product outcomes. 
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across and business and technical teams 
  • Experience building and managing Atlassian Suite of Products 
  • Experience working on Jira, GitLab, Confluence 
  • Experience working remotely with virtual and offshore teams is preferred
