    Description

Serve your community by joining a Red Cross Disaster Action Team (Columbia County)

In Oregon, the Red Cross responds to an average of two home fire calls per day, making it the most common disaster our communities face. To connect with households and meet their immediate needs, dedicated volunteers are needed to support in their local communities.

Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers are dispatched to connect with households affected by home fires and other disasters, identifying their needs and connecting them with immediate resources. DAT Team members play a crucial role in helping victims of disaster on their road to recovery. All training will be provided to volunteers. Disaster Action teams consist of 2-3 volunteers, so this is a great role for couples, friends, families to have an immediate impact in their community.
