Helpline Volunteer

Our free, eating disorders Helpline is operated by volunteers who are trained to connect callers to resources and provide general support. Volunteers consist of recovered individuals with lived experience of an eating disorder, and those who are passionate about eating disorder recovery. Peer Support Group Leader

ANAD’s free, eating disorder support groups offer weekly peer support and are open to anyone with lived experience with an eating disorder. Our groups are facilitated by trained volunteers who have walked the difficult road to recovery from their eating disorder and have been recovered for at least 2 years. Peer Support Mentor

ANAD’s Peer Support Mentorship Program offers free, online support for individuals who suffer from eating disorders and are motivated for recovery. Peer Support Mentors are people who have walked the difficult road to recovery from their eating disorder and are recovered for at least 2 years. Mentors support their mentees in their journey as a source of hope, wisdom, and empathy. Learn more about this opportunity at the link below.

Eligibility

  • All applicants must be 18 years or older
  • All applicants must have lived experience with an eating disorder and be recovered for at least 2 years.
  • All applicants must live in the United States.
  • All applicants must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • All applicants must believe in the core values of ANAD and be driven by our mission.
