Help people with aphasia from your home!

International Aphasia Movement (IAM) is looking for online volunteers. IAM provides free online group speech therapy in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

First, a volunteer to host Zoom meetings on alternate Monday evenings, 5 pm to 7 pm Eastern time. The 2023 schedule is posted at https://iamaphasia.org/iam-group-schedules/

Zoom meetings include 10 breakout rooms and random chat groups. If you are comfortable using Zoom to attend meetings, we are willing to train in host procedures.

Second, a volunteer to assist with sending email notifications of upcoming events. This work would require an hour or two a week and can be done on your own schedule. We are in the process of transitioning from Gmail to MailChimp. Knowledge of MailChimp would be an asset, but we can learn together!
