The Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) is looking for graduate students and young professionals who are interested in supporting the next generation of global leaders as coaches for the local 2024-2025 Academic WorldQuest Competition. This is a great opportunity for graduate students needing to fulfill community service hours (up to 45 hours possible)!
Your role as a coach for the competition will include the following responsibilities:
- Attend a training session in November
- Read materials for ONE category provided in the Study Guide
- Attend the Academic WorldQuest Competition Virtual Launch Party on November 13th
- Create 10 multiple choice questions for the local competition
- Create 10-15 multiple choice practice questions
- Meet with student teams virtually for coaching sessions in Jan/Feb 2025
- Attend the Academic WorldQuest Competition on March 1, 2025
The Academic WorldQuest Competition is a global trivia competition where high school students compete in teams of four for a chance to win a trip to Washington, D.C. and compete in the Academic WorldQuest National Competition.
