ENGAGE with Donors at Blood Drives for the American Red Cross!
The need for blood in hospitals remains essential even during the COVID -19 pandemic. Blood drives continue throughout Pima County, and at our fixed sites located at the Foothills Mall and off of Broadway & Kolb.
We are in desperate need of volunteers to support the drives in ways such as temperature screening & ensuring safety protocols are adhered to, checking in donors with appointments & taking walk-in's, and providing snacks for recovery & thank you items when a donation is completed. Training provided.
Drives are available throughout the week and weekend, but mostly during the week.
Due to safety guidelines, we require 18 years or older for individual volunteering. If you are under 18, we require someone 18 or older to accompany you. Means of transportation is also required.

How to Apply
An application to become a volunteer with the American Red Cross must be submitted first using the URL provided. Our Volunteer Services and Biomedical Services staff will be there to support you along the way. You will be able to sign up for blood drive shifts on our website. These shifts are an average of 4-5 hours each. One shift a month is required. We ask that you are 18 years or older, or have an adult available to accompany you on your shift.
