Veteran Walking Football Volunteer

We are searching for passionate and caring volunteers to join our Veteran Walking Football at Brickfields Sports Centre, Madden Road, Devonport, Plymouth.

Volunteering can make a difference to you, a huge difference to our clients and Age UK Plymouth.

The Role

We have a fun and interactive Veteran’s Walking Football session every Monday afternoon and we would love for you to join us as a volunteer. It’s a fabulous session that promotes part of a healthy lifestyle to our clients. The role would include encouraging our clients to participate and even help with a bit of refereeing, being on hand to help with much needed refreshments and enthusiastic cheerleading. However, there is so much more to this role benefiting both the clients and the entire team.

Are you passionate about supporting your local community? Can you add a bit of sparkle to someone’s day? If the answer is yes then we would love to hear from you. To be successful in this role you need you to have a caring nature, good organisational skills, empathetic, be a good listener, enjoy being part of a team and be reliable.

Additional Information

When completing the application form please provide information about any skills, experience, hobbies, training that you have.

We provide full training which includes; safeguarding, dementia awareness training and digital training.

Please note that a DBS Certificate and suitable references are a requirement of this role but we will guide you through these processes.
