    There are requirements to become a volunteer, but this is to protect our patient and you. A family member is comforted knowing our volunteers are trained, background checked, TB tested, Drug tested (minus marijuana) and fingerprinted.

    Friendly visits for hospice patients in Chelsea, MI

    Gentiva Hospice is looking for people that would like to volunteer visiting patients on hospice in the Chelsea area. Patients can either be in their own home or in a facility. Patients often enjoy company as they have 24 hours in a day to fill.

    Working in hospice is a great way to give back to folks that have a terminal diagnosis. Some patients just like to visit while others enjoy games or watching TV.

    There is no hands on care. You are truly there just to brighten their day.

    Our main office is in Jackson Michigan and we cover 6 counties so I can easily find an area that is close for you.
