Attention all students (high schoolers preferred)! We are Power to BIPOC Youth, a youth-led NGO that aims to amplify the voices of young BIPOC to inspire and educate others. We are looking for 1-2 officers to increase our organization’s outreach through social media in order to drive up interaction and gain new members, thus heightening our impact across the globe. Our goal is to spread awareness about our organization’s mission and encourage members to participate in the volunteer opportunities we offer on our website, as well as any future events or fundraisers.
Your responsibility as a social media marketing coordinator would be to utilize our social media’s analytics to brainstorm and execute online marketing campaigns or strategies that would help us attain the goals we listed above. You would mentor our team of existing social media managers, helping them maintain their platforms in a way that would promise engagement and success. We are looking for someone who possesses knowledge and/or experience in the digital marketing field, determination, creativity, leadership, and time/task management.
You’ll be expected to attend either weekly or bi-weekly meetings/calls with our organization’s founder reporting any ideas, plans, etc. This position would require a flexible time commitment based on your schedule and availability, but we do expect a minimum requirement of 2 hours every week (measured by the planning & brainstorming that goes behind projects/campaigns/etc + weekly meetings/calls).
