Volunteer needed in Plano, Garland, Rowlette, Mesquite, and Dallas

How would you like to visit with someone that wants to have a friend? Someone to talk to, watch TV with, go for a walk, make a puzzle, play a game, have coffee and do your nails? You never know what you can do to make other people happy.

We work with terminally ill patients that would like to have a visitor, someone that they can share their live experiences with, talk about your experiences, and make experiences together.

We do require some specifics, such as an application, background checks, TB testing, and drug screening. I would like to meet you for coffee or a soda and learn what you want to contribute as a volunteer. Some of our nursing homes would like to have help with activities such as painting classes, playing group games, having a teatime, or social hour. The possibilities are there if you want to make a difference.

Please consider meeting me and talking about what a wonderful gift it is to give to others when they are in need of companionship. We allow pet therapy if you have a trained animal. We paint fingernails, can put on a fun fashion show, help with holiday outings or resident parties.
