Wildlife Rehabilitation Volunteer

Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center is the oldest and largest wildlife rescue center in Latin America. Interning and volunteering with Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center is a life-changing opportunity to work with wild animals in Costa Rica and assist us with our mission to protect and restore Costa Rica’s biodiversity through; wildlife rehabilitation and release, endangered species breeding and reintroduction, biodiversity preservation, and lifetime care of the highest quality for animals that truly cannot be released. Volunteers and interns will have the exceptional opportunity to experience all of these aspects during their stay at Rescate.

Activities include:

Collecting data for Behavioral Monitoring Projects

Analyzing Behavioral data

Designing and Implementing Animal Enrichment

Collecting wild leaves and seeds for animal diets

Diet preparation and feeding

Enclosure Enhancement and Maintenance
