Hospice Companionship Volunteer - Cumberland County, Bayada Hospice

Calling all volunteers with hospice hearts in the Cumberland County community! This is your opportunity to join a team of compassionate volunteers by sharing your time and talents to provide companionship to hospice patients and their families. You’ll receive training and orientation to ensure you feel confident and comfortable in your role!

Support our patients and their families by offering a warm presence and a helping hand. Here are some example of what our volunteers do for our families:

• Sit with patients to read or watch TV
• Take a patient out for a short walk
• Keep a patient company while caregivers take a break
• Share your specialized skills including reiki, prayer, cosmetology, music, or whatever your talents are!
• Just be together

***All Volunteers that make visits to patients/families are required to have a Covid-19 vaccination, and during orientation, we will provide fit-testing for an N95 as well as a full supply of PPE so that you feel safe and comfortable when out at homes or facilities.
