    Volunteer With VITA - IRS Tax Certified Program in Alameda County!

    Looking for community service hours? Want to learn new skills? Come volunteer with VITA!

    For 23 years, the Fremont Family Resource Center's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program has offered free tax preparation services to eligible individuals and families. We'd love for you to join us in helping the community!

    We're looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:

    • Tax Preparers
    • Greeters
    • Schedulers
    • Intake Specialists
    • Interpreters & Translators for: Spanish, Chinese, Dari, Punjabi, American Sign Language

    No prior experience is needed. Training, materials, and a great team of fellow volunteers are provided! Join us in making a meaningful impact in our community!

    Our VITA Site will operate Wednesday-Saturday during the 2026 tax filing season. Volunteers can sign up for shifts - two shifts are open each day.
