Minds Matter DC is looking for an experienced fundraising professional to volunteer on our fundraising team. This role will be a member of our leadership team and will be an essential team member as we look to grow our capacity to serve students in the DC metro area. This position will require an average of 5 hours commitment per week during the school year but timing is flexible so work can be done around the volunteer’s other commitments. This team member will work closely with our President, Marketing Director and Board and will have an opportunity to bring on other volunteers to work with him/her as needed. This team member’s responsibilities will include:


  • Maintaining and growing the organization’s individual and corporate donor base
  • Managing annual giving campaigns
  • Providing volunteers with collateral and resources to raise money from their networks
  • Managing board giving
  • Expanding the organization’s reach by pursuing corporate and foundation opportunities
  • Managing the organization’s donor database
  • Working with the marketing director on collateral development for fundraising campaigns
  • Participating in calls and initiatives related to marketing with Minds Matter National
  • Attending monthly MMDC leadership meetings


Qualifications:


  • Fundraising in a professional environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with a grassroots team of volunteers to add to the success of Minds Matter DC
  • Team player that can work well in an all volunteer environment
