Year Long Elves Needed -Pointy Ears Optional

This opportunity is not just for the holiday, this is for every day! We need elves, do-gooders who can visit our homebound clients and help them with their reading, pick up some fresh groceries, read and sort their mail, identify and shred the junk, have a friendly visit or go out for a walk. These individuals are legally blind and working at staying independently living in their own homes. Now you can help!

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

• a desire to help others;
• a pleasant demeanor;
• a good reading/speaking voice;
• average reading skills;
• organizational or planning abilities;
• a good driving record;
• a clear criminal history;
• two references
• access to a car with proof of insurance;
• a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.

Volunteers will be matched within three to five miles of home or work.
