Are you interested in making a positive difference in your life as well as the lives of New Hampshire's immigrant and refugee families?
Do you have a passion for learning about different cultures?
The Migrant Education Program is looking for volunteer tutors for the children of migrant workers living in New Hampshire. Our students are between the ages of 3-21 and come from a variety of countries, including the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and Rwanda.
Tutors work one on one with students, helping with homework as well as improving their English language, reading, and math skills.
Do you want to help children and youth overcome unique educational challenges? Through our volunteer program you will gain valuable experience working in a cross-cultural educational setting and know that you are making a difference.
Volunteer tutors can make a huge impact on the lives of migrant workers and their children living in New Hampshire, giving them the tools and confidence they need to succeed at the same rate as their peers. Gain valuable experience as an educator and know that you are making a difference in children’s lives!
Most of our students are located in Concord, Manchester, and Nashua. The majority of our tutoring takes place in person, in students' homes. However, virtual tutoring is a possibility for some students. If you are interested in tutoring in person in the Concord, Manchester, or Nashua area, or tutoring virtually, we want to hear from you!
