Net Impact NYC is seeking an Events Co-Chair to manage and execute our Chapter’s programming that

cater to early and mid-career professionals interested in social impact. The Event Co-Chair will ensure

that Net Impact NYC’s programs are executed on a consistent basis, monitor the success of events, and

help evolve our overall programming strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

● Commit to a term of at least 18 months for 2-5 hours per week (time commitment varies; with

January-April being busier due to our annual conference, while summer is more quiet)

● Programming Production [in tandem with co-chair]

○ Implement best practices for producing events (online/in-person)

○ Plan at least 2 events per quarter; tasks include but are not limited to: identifying

speakers and conducting speaker outreach, creating materials, day-of logistics

○ Send thank you emails and notes to host company, speakers, and the WIN team after

each session and after the survey is shared

○ Liaise with Marketing Lead to set up session landing pages, invites, invite reminders and

RSVPs and to set marketing timeline

○ Capture marketing assets during the events

● Impact Measurement

○ Develop and track programming-related impact KPIs, including post-session surveys

○ Work with Net Impact NYC Finance lead to track revenue, costs (dollars and time) and

profitability

● Leadership

○ Participate in Net Impact NYC bi-weekly Board Meeting

○ Meet regularly with co-chair for strategy planning

○ Develop key NINYC template documents for Programming Guidelines

○ Manage Net Impact NYC Events Committee to ensure they are actively involved


QUALIFICATIONS:

● A determination to push forward our event programming and bring value to young professionals

interested in engaging in the social impact space. Prior event planning experience is a plus!

● Ability to identify and source event venues and speakers

● Passion for networking

● Strong organizational skills

● Strong communication skills and ability to convey a complex message/program in a manner that

is fast and intuitive

● Ability and bandwidth to deliver results in time-sensitive situations

● A strong interest in the social impact space

● Ability to manage a committee of volunteers

Please note that this is a non-paid position. Net Impact NYC is 100% run by volunteers.
