Calling for volunteers!!

The Tannenbusch House initiates a concrete meeting and co-creative space. The aim of the room is that all people, regardless of origin, age or gender, can communicate with like-minded people and have the opportunity to test and implement their own ideas and projects in a protected environment. 

In the past three years, we have held over 400 events and projects geared towards gardening, story telling, creative writing, recycling, music, dance, DIY (Do it Yourself), to mention but a few. This year, we would like to take a more focussed and sustainable approach in the events and projects we run, as we continue with already ongoing projects.

Job Overview

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for communicating and marketing the work of The Tannenbusch House. You will take the lead on updating our social media channels, encouraging others to engage, increasing our social media presence and awareness online overall. You will utilise your written skills to update the website, and your creative skills to develop marketing materials such as leaflets and posters to promote and clearly explain what we do, distribute such materials, responding to queries and comments on social media and networking during events.

 

Key activities

  • Attend networking events to raise the profile of the Tannenbusch House and promote our activities. 
  • Act as first point of contact for external enquiries.
  • Deliver external communications to a high standard. 
  • Review & revamp current publicity materials. 
  • Edit and produce a monthly newsletter. 
  • Develop content on our website and keep content live and up to date. 
  • Using social media tools including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Coordinate the design of promotional material and distribute in online and offline channels.


Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Experience of PR and marketing and using social media to create marketing campaigns and communications for a range of target audiences. 
  • Good IT skills including MS Office.
  • Desirable: Qualification in marketing, communications or PR or similar would be advantageous.
