Girls on the Run Board Member--Treasurer

Girls on the Run Austin is seeking a new member for its Board of Directors.  In this role, we need an individual with an accounting background, preferably with knowledge in Quick Books and payroll, tax reporting, and preparing monthly financials.  Non-profit experience and CPA license are a plus.  Other responsibilities include reporting monthly financials at each board meeting, approving expenses over certain amounts, writing occasional checks, and working with the Council Director and other Board Members on financial assistance / questions.

Board of Directors’ responsibilities consist of a monthly meeting from noon to 1:00 on the first Thursday of each month (virtually or in-person), as well as occasional evening / weekend events tied to Girls on the Run program execution (e.g., seasonal 5K, coach appreciation, fundraising events, etc.).  All Board members must commit financially $250 per year and assist with annual fundraising efforts organization-wide.

Dedicated time to this role is approximately 2 hours / month.
